We are a human resources (HR) management firm with more than 20 years of experience. We provide training, consultation and advisory services to our Federal and private sector clients. more info

Our experiences over the years have included workshops in such diverse settings as the US House of Representatives, the Office of the White House, financial institutions on Wall St., construction sites in the middle of the Central Arizona Desert, and U.S. Navy shipyards and scientific laboratories.

The consulting side of our business has found us riding on trash trucks in Manhattan with New York City sanitation workers, on U.S. Navy warships and to slaughter houses and meat packing plants. We have worked in every state in the Union as well as in Canada and Mexico in organizations ranging from government agencies and Fortune 100 international companies to labor unions  colleges, and religious institutions.

Some of our experiences are highlighted as follows:

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
We produced and delivered a comprehensive workshop entitled;” The HUD Way is the F.A.I.R-Way” based upon our video program The FAIR-way to Manage Diversity to over 8,000 HUD employees throughout the nation. The workshops and supplemental videos were customized to reflect agency specific requirements and realities.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

A corporation wide customized managing diversity program for managers, supervisors and employees at all levels was  conducted for over 2,000  staff members throughout the nation.

The Executive Office of the White House: Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Partnered with the firm Simmons Associates to conduct a series of Prevention of Sexual Harassment workshops for the OMB staff using traing videos created specifically for this project.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Developed and delivered a series of Prevention of Sexual Harassment workshops to staff members at all levels in response to a landmark court decision with significant implications for the organization. Organization specific video case studies were developed for this project.

FINRA:  formerly The National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
We conducted an organizational assessment that led to a decision to provide managing diversity training for employees at all levels within the organization that would address critical findings of the assessment. A special video tape communicating statements from executive level managers was developed for use in the training. This project led to additional training for company management officials and consultation with executive boards on issues of organization change and leadership during the company’s transition to it current structure.

Johnson Controls Inc.
The company requested assistance in  developing and conducting  a comprehensive  corporate wide diversity training program that would integrate issues of include issues of internal diversity ( e.g. sales/production differences) with the company’s  efforts to create a more diverse workforce  (race/gender while reaching out to a more diverse customer base. The net result was over 12,000 employees trained in facilities throughout the USA and in Canada and Mexico. The theme of “diversity as a journey not a destination” led to related projects and consultaton facilities under JCI’s management.

U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
From the halls of the Department of Interior in Washington, DC to the Hoover Dam and on to the Central Arizona desert, our 20 year plus realtionship with this client covered everything from basic supervisory training to conflict resolution.

U.S. Small Business Administration
Our 20 year continuing relationship with this client began with the development and delivery of a specialized training for Business Development Specialists on meeting new Congressional mandates for a major business assistance program. From there we provided system wide training programs in the areas of Human Resources Management, EEO, Managing Diversity and effective communication.

U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service
Over a period of several years we provided EEO and managing diversity training for managers and supervisors throughout the organization. These workshops were designed to refelect the realities of day to day decision making in managing working conditons in environments such as meat processing plants where Federal and priviate sector employees interact on a continuing basis. We collaborated with the  organiztion in developing a major video training program: “Sexual Harassment: Not Government Approved.”

Commonwelath Edison Inc.
We developed and conducted a series of workshops in the areas of managing diversity and confict resoluton for this  major utility company which was experiencing the impact of changing demographics in its workfore, customer base and  technology. Basically as the and new cultures of fosil fuel development and nuclear power began to merge and impact production technology the company was, also experiencing the effects of increased diversity in in worksites and customer base. Our work was successful in helping the company manage these dynamics  while making a critical transiton.
The National Institutes for Mental  Health
We provided the National Institute for Mental Health with tools for identifying   competencies for scientist positions that could be used in making decisions concerning promotions, training, work assignments and performance appraisal.

The U.S. National Mediation Board.
In addition to proving training in the areas of HR for Managers & Supervisors , Managing Diversity and Preventing Harassment in the Workplace, we have provided alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services with respect to discrimination complaints before the agency.

U.S. Department of State: Foreign Service Insitute (FSI).
FSI was required to conduct diversity/EEO training for all Foreign Service Officer personnel thoroughout the world. We assisted in this effort by providing over 30 one day workshops fo approximately 1,000  employees ranging from FS Officer to Ambassador.

U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
This organization with employees in both the civil service and foreign service occupational categories requested assistancde with the development and delivery of a workshop that would assist officers returning from foreign assignments in making a successful re-entry to a structure where they would work collaborately with career civil service employees. With the assistance of Prof. Gary Weaver from the Ameican University’s School of Internationa Studies we developed a program that addressed this issue as well as issues of leadership, workforce diversity and civil service HR management requirements.

Briggs and Stratton, Inc.
Expanding global markets and international competition were major drivers of the lawn and garden equipment manufacturer’s decision to bring diversity training to its staff in many of its U.S. locations. We assisted the organization in the design and delivery of diversity training that met addressed this need.
