Organizational Assessment


Alexander Consulting & Training, Inc. conducts  organizational assessments for your organization  that are uniquely tailored to fit your goals, resources, needs, and regulatory requirements. We use validated assessment tools and large group methodology designed to elicit a comprehensive and accurate view of your work processes, culture and organizational structure.

The overall goals of organizational assessments are to enhance operational effectiveness, improve team work and/or align organizational structures with people through individual or organizational development.

Methodology

Organizational assessments are used for the purpose of developing strategies of planned change for teams, organizational components and large systems.  We systematically review your processes, culture, and/or organizational structure, conduct an analysis and provide you with recommendations and change strategies. In addition, we can assist you with the transformation process as well as establish metrics  for evaluating the results.

We can conduct any or all of the following phases of an organizational assessment:

1.    Data Collection (records, reports and document reviews; assessments and surveys, focus groups and meetings)

2.    Data Compilation and Analysis (qualitative and quantitative analyses)

3.    Change Strategies (organizational development [OD] interventions designed to lead, manage and sustain change initiatives)

4.    Evaluation (performance metrics and results)

Our Approach

We work with you to define and align the organization’s mission, vision and values.  We examine (or help you address):

•    Communications strategy

•    Organization design (functions, structure, human capital resource allocation)

•    Infrastructure (to support the planned change)

•    Leadership (and support for the change)

•    Employee understanding and commitment to the change initiative

•    Human capital practices and policies (position descriptions, staffing, performance plans, competencies, training and development, succession planning, recognition and rewards, etc.) necessary to the change initiative

•    Actual and potential employee relations, labor relations and EEO concerns
